Book 1: The King's Champion

The Cantrell royal family has ruled the kingdom of Devonmere for generations and employs magical Kadeau as protectors.

King Rhisart Cantrell needs a protector for his son and heir Prince Stuart, and finds one in the form of a Kadeau, Morgan Bodine, the son of his ally the Duke of Rossmere. Morgan is destined for great things providing he can reach adulthood, for the Kadeau are feared and hated by many.

One attempt has already been made on Morgan’s life. Orphaned and alone, he is sent to live with the King’s trusted supporters, the Duke and Duchess of Invermere. They must ensure Morgan’s safety until he reaches the age of seven, when he will be delivered to Ellesmere to start his training for knighthood and to be Prince Stuart’s protector.

Everything is progressing almost as planned, until King Rhisart is fatally wounded in battle. Prince Stuart, only eighteen years old, suddenly finds himself King of Devonmere, and Morgan is still only a child…

Book 2: A Call to Arms

A Call To Arms continues on from where The King’s Champion finishes.

Morgan Bodine, Duke of Rossmere and of the magical Kadeau race, has seen the Ellesmere beacon burning red which means his king is calling him to arms. It’s February, the snow is deep on the ground and no one in living memory can remember a king summoning his supporters in such appalling conditions.

As the king’s protector, champion and friend, Morgan is under a tremendous amount of pressure. His bishop and advisors are attempting to find him a wife to produce an heir, but as yet, the young duke doesn’t even know who he truly is. All his life he’s done what others have asked of him but he needs to find himself first.

His neighbour, Nigel McDowell, Duke of Cottesmere has set his sights on marrying Morgan’s step-sister, claiming the Invermere army and overthrowing the king to take the throne for himself, which has to be prevented at all costs, or it will throw the whole kingdom of Devonmere into civil war.

A series of events, challenges and battles follow as Morgan strives to discover who he really is and help the king keep the peace. Will it all end happily or go horribly wrong?

Book 3: Devonmere

Unrest is growing.  The continued stability of the Kingdom is dependent on whom Colwyn Coltrane, the Duchess of Invermere, marries, and one man has her in his sights.

Nigel McDowell, Duke of Cottesmere has vowed to wed her and gain control of her army.

Can he claim her and then overthrow the King, or will his neighbour, Morgan Bodine, Duke of Rossmere; the most feared man in the Kingdom who is a Kadeau possessing some magical powers, manage to stop him?

What follows is political intrigue, pursuit, love and death as King Stuart attempts to manipulate the situation in his favour...
